Jin Se-yeon and Kim Min-kyu discussed their on-set camaraderie at a press event for TV Chosun's new period drama "Queen: Love and War" in Seoul on Dec. 12.
The drama, set in the Chosun Dynasty, depicts the conspiracies and intrigue that take place amid the selection of a new queen. Jin plays a woman who tries to win the heart of a king and become a queen, as she wants to find the killer of her twin sister. Kim takes the role opposite her as the king.
Other cast members include Do Sang-woo, Lee Yeol-eum and Lee Si-eon.
The two stars were satisfied with their collaboration and chemistry in the roles. "It's my first time starring in a period drama, so Jin is helping me a lot. During our scenes, she always tells me to be 'sweet as honey' [as my character loves her character dearly.] So after those scenes, I always ask her if I was sweet enough."
Jin said, "I half jokingly urge him to be 'sweeter.' I also ask him for advice on acting and rely on him. We have a great working relationship."
The first episode of "Queen: Love and War" will be aired on Dec. 14.
