Singer-songwriter and actress IU appeared at a press event for cable channel tvN's drama series "Hotel del Luna" in Seoul on July 8. Pyo Ji-hoon, better known as P.O of boy band Block B and Mina of girl group Gugudan also attended the event. Their friendly mingling at the event surely offered a good start to the drama.

IU plays the role of an ill-tempered and extravagant owner of a hotel. Pyo plays a bellboy who has been working at the hotel for 70 years, and Mina plays an ambitious intern who wants to be a manager there.

IU said she can't help but care about Pyo and Mina as they took a similar career path to hers. "We haven't worked together much yet but I feel familiar with them. I cheer for them."

"We were able to meet for the first time on this occasion of being cast for this drama, but I didn't feel any awkwardness but rather I was thrilled to see them as I have seen them performing [in music programs] on television."

Pyo and Mina also shared their impressions of IU. Pyo said, "I was like 'Wow!' She was just stunning when I first saw her in person. I think we will be able to show more things and create good synergy as we get along with each other."

"I feel something in common with IU," Mina said. "I don't have many scenes with IU, but I'm going to learn a lot from her," she added.

"Hotel del Luna" is a horror romantic comedy and it begins airing on July 13.
