Actress Jang Na-ra attended a press junket for her new TV series "VIP" in Seoul on Oct. 25.
In the series, whose first episode is to be aired on Oct. 28, Jang plays a woman who is born to a well-to-do family and works as part of a team tasked with handling a department store's VIP guests.
When asked about her co-star, Lee Sang-yoon, who plays the woman's husband, Jang said, "He makes everybody feel comfortable. As he was very considerate, I felt at ease while shooting scenes together. We are also the same age, which allows me to talk with him in a more friendly way."
Lee said, "We talked a lot during the early stage of shooting the series and found that we have similar taste in terms of the style of acting and actors we like. I felt very comfortable working with her. Even though there were some challenging scenes for me, I was able to pull through thanks to her help."
He added, "I think the reason Jang has been popular, building a successful career, is because she really gives 100 percent to each role she plays. If I may be permitted an exaggeration, I think she is so committed to acting that it consumes her. She is very determined to do well in whatever roles she plays, and that's why she has many hit dramas under her belt."
